IMPORTANT - If you are connecting to a vehicle for the first time, it is recommended that you connect to a vehicle using the standard vehicle connection method at least once prior to using Quick Scan, in order pair your connection device to the tablet and ensure your device is working correctly.
Quick Scan allows you to get connected and pull codes and scan reports faster, by automatically detecting and selecting certain options during the connection process.
How Quick Scan simplifies vehicle connection:
Option to set a favorite connection device to connect to automatically.
Automatically detects vehicle connection type and pulls VIN without having to select the vehicle make. (Some vehicles may require manual VIN entry).
Automatically selects vehicle options (if option information is available from decoded VIN)
Option to automatically connect to the vehicle’s Enhanced Powertrain system for initial full-vehicle scan. (Diagnostics app only)
Option to pre-fill a default email address when emailing exported scan reports.
Optimize Quick Scan (Setup – Optional)
To optimize Quick Scan for the fastest workflow:
Set up the following:
OBDII Device Management – Choose a Default Device and turn on Always Use Default Device To Connect.
Scanning and Report Options – Enter an Email Address and turn on Automatically Email Scan Report After Export.
