My automotive career started when I was in High School, where I
took an automotive course and worked part time at a department
store automotive service center.
After high school, I went on to get my Associates degree in
automotive technology at a local college. After graduation, I
spent the next few years working at Buick, Chevrolet, Nissan and
BMW dealerships. The great part about working for different
dealerships was that I got a chance to learn a lot about various
vehicle systems and component operation from a very diverse group
of manufacturers. I found that, out of all the auto makers, I
like working on European cars. So, I went on to work for
independent shops who specialized in European vehicles.
During the mid-80’s and 90’s I raced and built stock cars and got
to drive in the 1992 NASCAR Elite Southeast series.
I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 32 years and
have three sons. Our two oldest boys are happily married and have
great jobs; the youngest is going to college and is a Crossfit
coach and personal trainer. I enjoy spending time with my wife,
seeing my boys and their families and working around the house
and yard … and of course, spoiling our granddaughter.
My hobbies include racecar fabrication, welding, roll cage
construction. My latest project is a Nissan 240sx built to
Formula Drift pro 2 specs for my oldest son. I really enjoy my
job as an ALLDATA Diagnostic consultant and look forward to
helping our customers fix those difficult Euro vehicle problems.
