Manually Setting Up Your Internet Browser
IMPORTANT - This is one of several steps that needs to be taken to make sure that your ALLDATA product works correctly.

This is usually done using the Online Setup Tool. If you prefer to do it manually, follow the steps below.
Follow the process for the Internet browser that you use:

Internet Explorer (with the blue “e” icon)
Following these steps will help your ALLDATA program to run efficiently and reliably, without login problems or interruptions to access.
Step 1: Get Ready

Open the Internet using Internet Explorer.

Look up which version of Internet Explorer you have:

Click Help (on the top menu bar) >> About Internet Explorer.

The version number (7, 8 or 9) will be listed >> Click OK to close.

Step 2: Cookie Settings
-
From the top menu bar, click on Tools >> Internet Options.
-
Follow the steps below for your version of Internet Explorer (8/9 or 7):
Internet Explorer 10:
-
On the General (opening) tab, in the Browsing history section:
-
Verify that there is NOT a check in the box Delete browsing history on exit.
-
Click Delete.
-
-
In the Delete Browsing History window:
-
Make sure that Preserve Favorite website data is NOT checked.
-
Check the boxes for Temporary Internet files and Cookies.
-
Note: You can check or uncheck the other boxes according to personal preference.

Click Delete.
-
Internet Explorer 8 or 9:
-
On the General (opening) tab, in the Browsing history section:
-
Verify that there is NOT a check in the box Delete browsing history on exit.

Click Delete.
-

In the Delete Browsing History window:
-
Make sure that Preserve Favorite website data is NOT checked.
-
Check the boxes for Temporary Internet files and Cookies.
-
Note: You can check or uncheck the other boxes according to personal preference.

Click Delete.
-
Internet Explorer 7:
-
On the General (opening) tab, under Browsing history, click Delete.
-
Select Delete files and Delete cookies >> Click Close.
Step 3: Security Settings
-
On the Security tab, click Trusted Sites >> Sites.
-
In the Trusted sites box:
-
In Add this website to the zone, type the URL for your product (see below) >> Click Add.
-
For ALLDATA Repair: www.alldatapro.com
-
For ALLDATA Repair S3000: repair.alldata.com (no “www”)
-
For ALLDATA Collision: crash.alldata.com (no “www”)
-
For ALLDATA Collision S3500: collision.alldata.com (no “www”)
-
For AAMCO DirecTech PRO: www.aamco.alldata.com
-
-
Verify that there is NOT a check in the box Require server verification for all sites in this zone.

Click Close.

Step 4: Privacy Settings

On the Privacy tab, click Sites.
-
In the Per Site Privacy Actions box:

In Address of website, type:
-
For ALLDATA Repair: www.alldatapro.com
-
For ALLDATA Repair S3000: alldata.com (no “www”)
-
For ALLDATA Collision: alldata.com (no “www”)
-
For ALLDATA Collision S3500: alldata.com (no “www”)
-
For AAMCO DirecTech PRO: alldata.com (no “www”)
-

Click Allow >> OK.
-

Click OK again to close the Internet Options screen.
-
Close ALL browser windows by clicking the X in the upper-right corner of each Internet window that is open.

The changes that you made above will NOT be applied until ALL browser windows that were open during the process are closed.

Mozilla Firefox (with the fox/globe icon)
-
Following these steps will help your product run correctly, without login problems or interruptions to access.
Step 1: Get Ready

Open the Internet using Mozilla Firefox (with the fox/globe icon).
-
These instructions apply to the current version of Mozilla Firefox. If needed, download the current version before continuing.

To see which version of Mozilla Firefox you have, click Help >> About Firefox.

Tip: If the menu bar isn’t visible, press the Alt button on your keyboard.
-

The version number will be listed on the pop-up box.
-
Note: There are more current versions available than shown below. The image is just an example of where to find the version number.

If you do NOT have the current version, a message will display that prompts you to download the current version, or you can click HERE for information about how to download it manually.

Step 2: Update the Internet Browser Settings

From the menu bar, click History >> Clear Recent History.
-
Tip: You may need to press the Alt button on your keyboard to make the menu bar visible.
-
Alternate method to open the Clear Recent History window: Press the Ctrl + Shift + Del keys AT THE SAME TIME on your keyboard.

In the Clear All History window:
-
In the Time range to clear drop-down, select Everything.
-
If the check boxes are not visible, click the arrow next to Details.
-
Check ONLY Cookies and Cache.
-
Click Clear Now.
-
The Clear All History window will close after the stored cookies and cache have finished clearing from Mozilla Firefox.

On the menu bar, click Tools >> Options.
-
Tip: You may need to press the Alt button on your keyboard to make the menu bar visible again.

Alternate method to open the Options window: Press the Alt + T + O keys AT THE SAME TIME on your keyboard.

On the Options window, click the Privacy tab (with the face mask icon).
-
In the History section, select Firefox will: Remember history.
-
Click OK.
-
This will save your settings and close the Options window.

Close ALL Internet browser windows by clicking the X in the upper-right corner of each Internet window that is open.
-
The changes that you made above will NOT be applied until ALL browser windows that were open during the process are closed.
