Managing Estimate Files
IMPORTANT - ALLDATA Repair (DVD) was not designed to house a large number of estimates or to be used as a Shop Management System (SMS).
All estimates in an estimate folder are stored as a group. If one estimate file becomes damaged, it is possible for all estimates in that folder to become unusable.
To minimize the chances of data loss, it is highly recommended to:
Removing ALLDATA Repair (DVD)
For instructions on how to remove ALLDATA® RepairSM (DVD) from your computer, click the name of the system that you are using.

Note: When prompted, always Allow, Unblock or otherwise give permission for your system to complete the removal.

Click Start >> Control Panel.
Copying SERVICE ADVISOR Discs to your Computer (P&L Information Only)

Mapping the Drive for Data Networking
On the SERVER computer, click Start >> My Computer.
The SERVER is the main computer that the ALLDATA® RepairSM disc information has been saved to.
Open the C: drive by double-clicking on Local Disk (C:).
Switch to Printing Black Text on a White Background
When using the default setting for printing in ALLDATA® RepairSM (DVD), the print colors are reversed.
The background of the page is black and the picture is white.
To switch to printing black text on a white background:
Close out of ALLDATA Repair (DVD).
Insert the ALLDATA Repair (DVD) Installation disc in your CD or DVD drive.
Setting the Default Printer
Open ALLDATA® RepairSM.
Click on Data >> Printer Setup.
In the Print Setup box, click on the drop-down arrow and select your printer.
Confirming that the Correct Security Key is Installed
Close any programs that are open on the computer.
Open ALLDATA® Repair (DVD).
Make sure you are opening the current version.

Checking the Security Key Date

Checking the Subscription Code Expiration Dates
Subscription Option Codes unlock functions in the ALLDATA® RepairSM (DVD) and ALLDATA® ManageSM programs.
Each code unlocks a different part of the program that your shop has subscribed to.
If a code expires, your program will stop working correctly.
Codes are updated every 6 months along with the biannual SUBSCRIPTION updates, but various situations can interrupt these updates.
Checking the Compatibility Mode Settings
Right-click the ALLDATA Repair icon on the computer desktop >> Left-click Properties.
On the Compatibility tab:
In the Compatibility mode section,make sure that Run this program in compatibility mode for is NOT checked.
If any changes were made, click Apply.
Click OK.
Verifying or Identifying Your Security Key ID
Sometimes it is important to verify or identify your security (or subscription) key ID for ALLDATA Customer Service to assist you.
Go to the main screen of ALLDATA for Windows (DVD) and click on Data >> Subscription >> Subscription Information.
Adding Subscription Option Codes
Subscription Option Codes unlock functions in the ALLDATA® RepairSM (DVD) program.
Each code unlocks a different part of the program that your shop has subscribed to.
Depending on your shop’s subscription type, you will be given 1 – 4 codes.
These codes can be found on the orange installation instructions that came with the installation disc(s), or can be given to you by a Customer Support representative.
