Time/Date/Time Zone Setup

IMPORTANT - Your time, date and time zone MUST be set correctly or your ALLDATA® ManageSM program will not work properly.

 

Follow the steps below for the version of Windows that you use.

Windows XP

  1. Double-click on the time displayed on your Taskbar (in the bottom-right corner of your screen).

  2. In the Date and Time Properties box:

    • On the Date & Time tab, confirm that the Date and Time are correct.

    • On the Time Zone tab:

      • Confirm that the Time Zone is set to your geographic location

      • Check Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes.

      • Click OK.

Windows Vista/Windows 7

  1. Right-click on the time displayed on your Taskbar (in the bottom-right corner of your screen).

  2. Click Adjust Date/Time.

  3. On the Internet Time tab, click Change Settings.

    • In the Internet Time Settings box:

      • Check Synchronize with an Internet time server.

      • Select time.windows.com in the dropdown box.

      • Click Update Now

    • Wait for the message stating, "The clock was successfully synchronized with time.windows.com on (today's date and time)." >> Click OK.

  4. On the Date and Time tab, click Change Time Zone.

    • In the Time Zone Settings box:

      • Verify that the time zone is set to your geographic location.

      • Check Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes.

      • Click OK.

    • Confirm that the date and time are correct >> Click OK.
