Adding Actual Costs and Details to Orders

Keeping track of actual costs and comparing them to what was actually billed helps you manage your shop more efficiently.

 

After a service is provided, but before the order is cashiered or posted, enter:

  • A Note in the Work Performed field in all Labor, Sublet and Misc line items.

  • The actual labor hours in the Flagged Hrs field on all Labor line Items.

  • The actual cost in the Cost field on all Part, Sublet and Misc line items.

Note: Warning Messages can be enabled in the Company Setup window to display when an invoice is posted without part or labor costs.
