What Is a Subscription License and Why Does Every Computer Need Its Own?
The subscription license is what allows a computer to access your ALLDATA® program.
Every computer in the shop that uses ALLDATA needs to have its own subscription license.
If there is not a subscription license for each computer, “pulling” a license from a computer that is currently running ALLDATA® CollisionSM S3500 will kick the user of that computer out.
Note: This only happens if the new user is logged in with an ADMINISTRATIVE login. It is best to have general-use (NON-ADMIN) logins for day-to-day use instead.
As stated in the Terms and Conditions: “2. Restrictions…You must not, and You must not request or authorize a third party to…(v) access the Product, Data, or Documentation on more computers, workstations, or “nodes” than are expressly authorized in your Service Agreement.”
If your shop has not purchased a license for each computer, more licenses can be purchased by calling us at 800-859-3282, option 4.
If a subscription license is NOT registered to your computer, the Subscription License Management page will pop up after logging in.
If you have a NON-ADMIN login (with no administrative privileges) and a subscription license is NOT available to add to your computer, someone with the ADMINISTRATIVE login will need to change the subscription license settings on your behalfand/or purchase additional licenses.
